There was a period of time where this was really good and it was my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I came here with my family, came here with my friends, we all loved it! Unfortunately, the most recent time I came here, they messed up our order 3 times... We couldn't believe that they kept messing up the order time after time. The waitress joked about it and said sorry, but that was really it. You would think they would either comp the dish after all the waiting or comp a dessert or something. Nope... I was taken it back how many times they made a mistake and how long I had to wait. My friend was done with her dish before mine even came out. Since this incident, I haven't been back since and have gone to another Thai restaurant closer to my house, where they get the order right.

I have been to this restaurant several times. Right now the downtown restaurant in Rock Island is suffering because of roadwork in front of their building. I encourage and everyone to go try their wonderful food so that they don't have to close that location because of the city of Rock Island dragging their feet on the construction. I went to Sol 2. Where two other couples and my husband. My husband was worried about it as was one of the other husbands because they had neither one ever tried Thai food before. I assured them that the menu was very large and there was plenty they could find that was delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. She was attentive and friendly And had some great suggestions for the reluctant diners! We absolutely enjoyed every single meal we got. Everyone is anxious to go back and try something different on the menu. The prices are fair and the food is just delicious.

Best. Thai. Food. In. The. World. UNBELIEVABLE FOOD! Thai is my favorite food - and I've tried many places. This, by far, holds the spot for #1 BEST places I've been. I'm just traveling through - so I wish I could take this restaurant home with me. And don't even get me started on the staff - AMAZING. So kind, quick, and funny! Love this place and highly recommend.

So 2 is excellent Thai food in downtown Rock Island. The atmosphere feels like you are in a bigger city and the food is always delicious. The service is consistently good, as well. Highly recommend.

I went on a random work trip with my boyfriend in Iowa (lol), and we found this place as we were searching up Thai spots in the general area! We had low expectations of finding an authentic place since we didn't know where we were at, but the reviews and pictures were convincing enough for us to go. I am so glad we went! After living in Chicago and NYC for a few years, this place between Iowa and Illinois has to be by far one of my favorite Thai street food spots - AND it's reasonably priced!! I wish I was in the area longer to try more of their food. On top of the amazing food, service was amazing as well. We had an amazing host and server - both were so kind and friendly and made the environment so pleasant to be in. I would 100% go again.

QC native, easily my favorite place to eat. Easy go to Mango fried rice for the picky eaters. If you're feeling adventurous try Gaeng Haeng Lay, my choice for my last meal.

If I could, I would yell from the rooftops of Rock Island how amazing Soi 2 Thais food is! After a long day of work, I was craving some Thai food. After a quick Google search, Soi 2 Thai popped up. Soi is a large restaurant on the corner of a slowly reviving downtown Rock Island. Upon walking in, it looks very small but gets larger as you walk to the back. Sporting several two seaters along the wall and larger tables in the middle, it is great for intimate date nights and larger groups. After checking out their menu, I decided to get their fried rice without the tomatoes. With the four and five star reviews, I had high expectations, and they were all met. The dish was not super spicy but had tons of flavor with each bite having a hint of savory spice/sweetness. I literally had to stop myself from eating too much, which is fine as they give you enough for a couple of meals. Also, the service is attentive, and the people are nice. Love that is local! I haven't had much luck in the thai-chinese department lately, so I am glad that Soi was a winner! Whenever I am in this area again, I plan to return.

Excellent Thai food. Ordered on doordash and picked it up in the store. Good serving of food too. Will be definitely visiting again. So happy to have found a solid Thai place here in the QC.

I've been wanting to come here for awhile now, I'm so happy that it finally happened. I Will be back soon to try more things!! Everything we ordered today was fresh, neatly put together and had a great combination of flavors threw out all of the dishes. The waitress was also very nice. Service was quick, in and out in 40 mins. the place looks like it hasn't been updated in awhile when ya first walk in but they do have some cute 2 seater tables that would be perfect for a nice date night!! Personally the looks don't bother me as long as the food is fantastic which is was!!

I had Khai Soi and my wife had Thai beef, both ramen! Khai Soi is 10 out of 10! I got level 3 spice and it was just right! Highly recommend!
